Covington - Mrs. Josephine F. McDonough, 71, of Covington who resided at Chicago for 45 years before moving here a year ago, died Monday in Carle Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. A 1920 graduate of Covington HS, she was a retired insurance company secretary. She was employed by a Chicago firm for many years. Born Oct 20, 1902, at Dnaville, Ill she was a daughter of Henry and Florence Dement VonBerg. She is survived by 5 nieces and a nephew. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in DeVerter Funeral Home here with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday - jlr

  Covington, Ind.—Mrs. Josephine F. McDonough, 71, of 519 Seventh, a former resident of Chicago, Ill. for 45 years, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1974 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill. She had been ill for four months.
  Born Oct. 20, 1902, in Danville, Ill., she was the daughter of Henry and Florence Dement Von Berg. In 1932 she was married to Edwin J. McDonough who preceded her in death. Mrs. McDonough was a retired insurance secretary of Peterson Brothers Insurance Company of Chicago. She was a 1920 graduate of Covington High.     Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. James Wallace and Mrs. Charles Frey, both of Covington, Mrs. Loren Grant and Mrs. Frank Batt, both in California and Mrs. Ethel Lynn in Michigan; and Nephew, Wilbur Von Berg of Chicago.  A brother and a sister preceded her in death.  Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the De Verter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. -s
